With a fast changing economy
more and more OEM's turn to contract manufacturers
to reduce overhead and improve time to market

Circuit Manufacturing Incorporated (CMI) is a full service provider of assembly and prototypes services to the electronic and electro-mechanical industries. CMI has been offering a complete manufacturing process to OEM's in the Northwest and internationally for over 15 years. Products assembled at CMI include: Industrial controllers, test and measurement devices, medical equipment, aviation, and consumer products.

The Electronics Manufacturing Services industry has been growing at a rate of 35% a year. According to forecasters this growth is projected to continue for the next five years. We at CMI have experienced a similar rate of growth that has enabled us to make many changes. Some of these changes are the addition of equipment, space, technology and speed.

Mydate MY9Recent changes include the addition of a new MyData MY9 pick and place machine with HYDRA 2 and Dual Vision systems. This adds an additional process seed of over 12,000 parts per hour and the ability to place consistently and accurately all QFP, BGA, Flip chip, chip scale BGA and CSP Components down to a .16mm (6mil) lead pitch.

BGA inspectionAs components get smaller and packages change, having proper inspection and rework equipment is very important for process control and consistent quality output. CMI continues to implement these kinds of tools to better see under and around components in order to insure superior quality as well as verify the production process.

NetworkUsing ASICS software enables engineers to quickly create assembly procedures, as well as program and remotely setup assembly equipment by using customer provided CAD data. MS Windows/Linux based network allows programmers to quickly make any revisions and modifications to the process online, without costly down time.

Turnkey partsA recent expansion has given CMI a total of 13,000 square feet to handle our growth. Additions include a larger controlled inventory area, more space for final assembly and packaging, added area for finished goods, and opportunity for the customer driven work cell to expand quickly on demand. CMI is responding to the changes and growth of the high tech world.
